14:00 - 17:00 Seminar Overview Exchange traded funds (ETFs) are index funds or trusts that are listed and traded intraday on securities exchanges. They allow investors to buy or sell shares of an entire stock or bond portfolio as a single security. Exchange traded funds add the flexibility and liquidity of stock trading to the benefits of traditional index fund investing. ETFs are one of the fastest growing areas of the investment market. The funds track returns on indices without buying into the underlying assets. Investments can be made on the movement of any one asset, or a bundle of them, from FTSE 100 equities to the price of commodities. Issuers are becoming ever more inventive with new ETF launches. According to Morgan Stanley, global ETF assets under management are expected to exceed USD2,000bn by 2011.. Who should attend? This 3 hour seminar is suitable for anybody within the Finance Industry who would like a better understanding of Exchange Traded Funds. A basic understanding of the industry is assumed, but no prior knowledge of ETFs is required. CPD Delegates will qualify for 3 CPD hours and certificates will be provided to all attendees.
