10:00 - 13:00 Seminar Overview Options are often viewed as complex instruments and avoided by all except those who are specialists. This seminar will take you through the very basics of option trading and guide you through some simple techniques. On completion of the seminar you will have a full understanding of how options work and how best they can be used. This three-hour workshop will cover the following: Overview of the workings of Options Basic characteristics & mechanics of how options work Option definitions & terminology Share options, Index Options, Traded Options, Options on Futures Comparison of OTC and exchange traded environments Clearing & Settlement with Options Option valuation techniques and the importance of volatility How Options are used, highlighting different applications Use of payoff diagrams Who Should Attend? This introductory level seminar will be of benefit to all market participants. CPD Delegates will qualify for 3 CPD hours and certificates will be provided to all attendees. Goodacre Training is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI) as an approved CPD Provider. Members of the CISI can log these training hours on the CISI website.
