At a ceremony on 11 th April 2003 on the terrace at the House of Lords, winners of the Securities Industry Software Awards sponsored by the London Stock Exchange were announced, as follows:

Award winners in the ‘Specialist category’ were determined by Summerson Goodacre’s research team following the work carried out in compiling the Systems for the Securities Industry review.

Following an introduction by Lord Anthony St John of Bletso, Roberto Rivero Head of Sales & Marketing for the Information and IT Division of the London Stock Exchange presented the Awards. Commenting on the presentation, Mr Rivero said “The London Stock Exchange is delighted to continue its support for these Awards to an essential support sector within the Securities Industry. The tough markets of the past couple of years have placed a tremendous strain on commercial suppliers and it is fitting that they are recognised in their continued efforts to deliver and improve systems to all market participants”.

 

The Review Systems for the Securities Industry (2003 Edition)

Each year, Summerson Goodacre publishes the review, Systems for the Securities Industry . The review analyses and compares systems for Dealers, Fund Managers, Institutions and Stockbrokers and copies are provided to every securities trading firm in the UK and a considerable number of similar overseas organisations.
